~* How To Play *
~ Treasure Trove, also known as Osmosis, is a challenging and demanding game
that requires keen observation and a sense of the relative position of cards.
When you master these elusive elements you will discover Treasure Trove to be
worthy of your efforts.
The playing field consists of nine card areas: four piles, four foundation
tables, and the remaining deck. The computer sets the stage by dealing four
cards to each of the four piles and a single card to foundation area one.
The top card of each pile and the single card are dealt face up. The object
of the game is to move cards from the deck and piles to foundation areas.
Each of the foundation areas represent one of the suits. Foundation number
one's suit is determined by the single card. As the game progresses, cards
of the same rank as the single card are used to initiate new foundations and
to determine that foundation's suit. That is, if the card dealt to the first
foundation (the single card) is a ten of diamonds then subsequent foundations
must start with a ten and its suit determines the suit for that foundation.
Cards may be played to the foundation areas from either the deck or any of
the four piles provided a card of the same rank has already been played to
the foundation area immediately above it. Since no area is above the first
foundation, any card of that suit may be played from either the piles or the
deck at any time. The deck is dealt three cards at a time, the top card being
available to play. Foundation One is easiest because as cards of this leading
suit become available you can simply play them to the foundation.
Other foundations become more difficult. To play cards to foundations two,
three and four the card value you are playing must be already present in the
foundation immediately above the your target foundation. For example, to play
a queen to foundation two, a queen must already be present in foundation one.
The same relationship is true for foundations three and two and foundations
four and three.
The deck is dealt three at a time until it is exhausted. Then it is turned
over and gone back through. Play continues until all cards are played or you
quit. The game is won by moving all cards to the foundations.

~ Playing Single Card Completing Foundation
--------------------- -----------------------
Foundation One : 100 Points 1000 Points
Foundation Two : 200 Points 2000 Points
Foundation Three: 300 Points 3000 Points
Foundation Four : 500 Points 5000 Points / Free Hand
~* Features *
~ The game is played in tournament style. Players face exact duplicates of
hands played by their opponents. Any score differences are the direct result
of playing skill rather than luck.
Every day, the high scorer (Champ of the Day) receives 5000 bonus points.
These points will be subtracted if another player makes up that day and beats
the current high score, and the new Champ will be awarded the 5000 points.
Tournament Style requires that all hands be shuffled and stored to file at
the beginning of each month. The first player of the month will see a special
maintenance screen while the hands are shuffled. This should only take about
one minute on most machines.
Hot keys are available at the opening Main Menu and at closing Score Menu.
You may select options while a screen is printing. This is handy, once you
become familiar with the game and don't need to see the options.
~* Registered Features *
~ Once Treasure Trove is registered, the following features are available.
~ The game has the Make-Up Missed Hands and Play Ahead Day features of other
JNS Software Door Games, but a new feature has been added in conjunction with
these features that allows a player to also make up missed hands. For example
if 3 hands are allowed per day and you only play two, you don't have to worry
with calling back in the same day. You can call in on any other day and after
playing the current day you can select that day on the calendar and "make-up"
the remaining hands. These days are marked by an 'h' on the calendar,
indicating you've played on that day but have hands remaining.
